JSR COVER ILLUSTRATION JANUARY 2022

The Journal of Surgical research asked authors of accepted manuscripts to submit an illustration of their research topic to be considered for the cover of the journal. I was asked by a surgical oncologist from Boston Medical Center to create such an illustration. We are pleased to announce that my illustration was selected to be the cover of the journal.

COVID-19 PEER-REVIEWED MANUSCRIPT

January 2021

Researchers from Boston University School of Medicine led by Joshua Gustine, MPH, published a review article outlining the immunopathology of SARS-CoV-2 in the American Journal of Pathology. I was consulted to produce an illustration depicting the mechanism of action of SARS-CoV-2 and the downstream inflammatory and immunologic response.

UNDERNEATH IT ALL

January 2021

I submitted this piece to the 31st Annual Art Days 2021 exhibit. The theme of this years exhibit was Antiracism. 


My creation shows the importance of medical professionals to treat their patients as if their skin was not a factor in their medical assessment.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY MASK INITIATIVE 

March 4, 2021

I was asked to create this cute little logo for colleagues at BU School of Medicine for their initiative to raise money to purchase surgical masks for members of their community affected by homelessness. This incredible group far surpassed their goal and donated over 6,000 masks!
